With this logo, the main goal was to modernize what they had. They were pretty open to new ideas, but the one thing that was a must have was some sort of representation of Texas, where they were based. We did not want to get too literal with an outline of the state, so the next best thing is the star on the flag, which was easy to incorporate into any design. The wine barrel became the next part of the logo, as wine was their main promotional item. Then trying to incorporate both of the items, while keeping balance to the logo, it all came together as a circular crest. The colors were carefully chosen to match red wine (PMS 221) and a wine barrel (PMS 146) to really tie it all together. The fonts we wanted to be simple, modern and easy to read, and after some trial and error, mixing and matching the color combinations, and font weights we ended up here. A new modern logo that will look good on any promotional items, as well as working in black and white.
