Campbell's Soup Co.
Project Goal
I was contacted by a recruiter for Campbell’s to come in and assist with a couple of projects. The first was to create a Campbell’s Chunky Soup food truck to be driven to NFL stadiums throughout the country each week and give out samples at tailgates. The other project was to create a set of infographics for Pace salsa to show recipe combinations of what you can make with a jar of Pace salsa.
Food Truck
For the food truck the timing worked out well as I had just been working in pro sports e-commerce, so I had an idea of what was working in the sports world at the time. The goal with the design was to make it look tough and rugged to fit with the NFL and the Chunky brand. Overall the dark distressed look was the choice, with a little cutout of a football field. We did not want to go too green with the field so the cutout was what ended up working best. The logos, cans and tag line needed to be featured, and fit within the template of the food truck.
Unfortunately the whole food truck got scrapped at the last minute so we never got to see the truck in the wild, but a great project to work on.
Pace Infographic
I was given a set of illustrations and Pace style guide to work with on this project, and a set of “recipes” to create. That was the only direction that was given for this project.
One illustration was a wagon wheel, which was used as inspiration for the overall design of the infographic, the center of the wheel being the left side, and the spokes splitting the page evenly to show the ingredients and the finished product. This project had a great color palette that was fun to work with and creating some of the “star bursts” and background illustrations were custom made to fit with the Pace look. The only downfall of working on this project was how hungry I was when working on it before lunch.
